Our Transition program serves our graduated students from age 18-22.  Our goal for our students is to provide them with instruction to promote their personal independence.  The skills we address that correlate with our students’ IEP goals are functional academics, daily living skills, employability skills, community awareness, social skills, and communication skills.  To facilitate independence, our students participate in Community Based Instruction.  During our CBI’s, our students are able to generalize skills taught in class and use them in real-life situations.  To improve our students employability skills we have started a program called Suns At Work.  Within this program we have a partnership with our local businesses so our students can participate in career experience within our community.
